After suggesting to my new roommates that the 4 of us band together every Wednesday and bravely blog (for alone, rarely does it happen) I proceeded to totally forget about it - thankfully Roommate B didn't.

In the last few months since I've written, I've jaunted across Europe (Hamburg 10 days, Berlin 2 days, Venice 1 day, Paris 2 days, England 12 days) and it was excellent.

Did some stuff.

Filmed my first music video on a green-screen set, a catchy tune called "Cotton Candy" by Liam Biggs ( http://www.myspace.com/mrlittlebiggs ) with a carnival / state fair theme. Thusly, being filmed on a green-screen set and lacking a fair to film, the setting will be CGI created with Blender, 3DS max, Photoshop CS4 Extended (for it's video-editing capabilities) After Effects and a slew of plugins.

I just have to deliver it by the end of Feb. Ha!

So, to manage that, my good buddy J (who is wont to build awesome computers) is putting together a beast of a rig, an I7 something or other. Normally I'm up to spec with tech details, but the Intel units he's cramming into this thing are part numbers even I'm unfamiliar with.

The big-beast-rig will drop in around Feb 20th, by that time all the tests/footage prep will be done, and I'll delve very deeply into the final rendering and compositing. When finished, there'll be a big screening party right back at the green screen studio we filmed it at.

Then, this vid and the new rig opens up doors to bigger, slicker and more projects. Increased output with higher quality. That's the stuff dreams are made of.

I'm also doing the website for it: http://www.liamsbiggtopp.com It doesn't have any content as of this writing, but give me time...

Catch ya later,
- D

PS: The new computer will be called DINO.
